Days 1
Arrival to San José, after the passport control, a representative will be waiting to help you locate your luggage and our company driver. Once you have met our driver, we will take you to your hotel. Night in San José. Night in San Jose Colonial Hotel or similar, standard room, with Breakfast.
Days 2
After breakfast, see the statue of the drummer boy, Costa Rica's hero. Next, weather permitting, visit the Poas Volcano, dormant since 1991. You can safely view this dramatic mile wide crater from an overlook. Visit the metallic church of Grecia as well as visiting Sarchi, see the painted ox carts and colorful handicrafts. Lunch in the area and return to San Jose, with the afternoon free to visit downtown attractions such as La Plaza de la Cultura, National Theater and Parque Morazan. Days 3
Scenic morning drive through Braulio Carrillo National Park. Look for cascading waterfalls. With a naturalist guide, enjoy a short rainforest hike on level terrain. Lunch in the hotel, then Cruise Rivers and canals to the 47,000 acre Tortuguero National Park. Tortuguero is home to more than 300 species of birds. Look for toucans, kingfishers, parrots and the rare green macaw. Enjoy a 2 night stay at a lodge. Night in Tortuguero (Laguna Lodge or Similar), Standard room, 3 daily meals
Days 4
Cruise this morning with naturalist guide along canals lined by raffia palm, habitat of howler and white-faced monkeys, green iguanas and tropical birds. Look for white and snowy egrets and the amazing nests of the Montezuma oropendola. Then, enter the mysterious reflecting waters of Caño Palma wildlife reserve. Next, visit the turtle's nesting habitat, eggs and young hatchlings. (If season, July through September). Walk along the Atlantic turtle nesting beaches with a naturalist guide. Next, to Tortuguero Village. Meet Costa Rican school children on your visit to local school (when in session). Return to your lodge for lunch. Free time to enjoy you lodge's swimming pool and tropical flower gardens. Enjoy an afternoon boat excursion into Tortuguero Park. Look for otters, turtles and manatees. Dinner at the hotel. Days 5
Morning boat tour on Tortuguero Canals. See banana plantation. Lunch. Shuttle transportation will pick you up to take you to Arenal for a 2 night stay in Fortuna area. Night in Arenal (Hotel Arenal Paraiso or Similar) Standard room, with Breakfast
Days 6
Early in the morning, guided walk through the Arenal National Park or choose a horse back riding tour to Fortuna Waterfall. Free time to explore the village as well as the relaxing hot springs. Night at your hotel Night in Arenal (Hotel Arenal Paraiso or Similar) Standard with room, Breakfast
Days 7
This morning, shuttle transportation will take you to Manuel Antonio National Park, night in your hotel. Night in Arenal (Hotel Casitas Eclipse or Similar) Standard room, with Breakfast
