Days 1
Meet and greet at the international airport and transfer to Rodeo Country Inn Hotel your first night in Costa Rica with Breakfast
Days 2
You will be picked up early morning, for the approximately 3 hour drive to Cano Blanco Port. You will be traveling with a bilingual naturalist guide on an air conditioned bus. On the way you will stop for breakfast at Selva Tropical Restaurant where you can enjoy a butterfly garden with a variety of tropical flowers. After breakfast we will continue our trip to Caño Blanco deck driving by banana plantations. At Caño Blanco, you will board the covered boat to the lodge, passing the Tortuguero canals arriving between 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. At the lodge our staff will be waiting for you with a refreshing cocktail, your rooms will be assigned and the guide will explain the afternoon activities after lunch -the visit to the Turtle Museum and to the colorful Tortuguero town. You will return to the lodge by afternoon to free time. Dinner and then rest of the night free to enjoy the surroundings, pool and bar. Overnight at Pachira Lodge (or similar), standard room.
Days 3
After breakfast boat tour to admire the canals of Tortuguero National Park. This is a wonderful and interesting experience where you can see abundant flora and fauna of Tortuguero National Park. Return to the lodge for lunch and free time for a siesta, enjoy the pool or go for a walk to the beach. Then you have another optional tour to the canals or stay at the lodge to explore the private trails of the lodge, visit the open butterfly garden or simply enjoy the pool. Overnight at Pachira Lodge (or similar), standard room.
Days 4
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic boat ride back to the Caño Blanco Port. Then bus ride to Caribbean Dish, to take a shuttle bus to Arenal area. The flawless silhouette of Arenal Volcano, its loud rumblings and frequent explosions of lava and ash are a sight not to be missed by any visitor to Costa Rica. Afternoon arrival to the Las Cabañitas Hotel, your home-base for that night. Evening free to relax or explore the area. Overnight at Las Cabañitas, standard room (or similar).
Days 5
This is an afternoon tour (pick up at 3:00 pm). A short hike in one of the trails close to the volcano area will give us the chance to enjoy some forest and the activity around it. At the hot springs our customers can enjoy a healthy and relaxing soak; it is also possible to see the Arenal Volcano erupting from a comfortable spa. With the improvement of the road from Quesada City to La Fortuna, the number of local and foreign visitors has increased. Visit the volcanic thermal mineral pools and dinner at Baldí. Overnight at Las Cabañias, standard room (or similar).
Days 6
Morning pickup at the hotel for the scenic jeep/boat/jeep transfer to Monteverde through Lake Arenal. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most diverse and richest tropical cloud forests in the New World and home to the resplendent Quetzal and the rare bell bird. After check in feel free to explore your new surroundings. Overnight at Belmar Hotel, standard room (or similar).
Days 7
In the morning, you will set out to discover the secrets of the misty forest with its dense vegetation and majestic trees. Morning pick up at the hotel for the Monteverde Cloud Forest Hike Tour and enjoy an adventure at the Sky Trek. This is a system of three platforms suspended above the ground in the midst of tree boughs. Zip lines attached from one platform to another will allow you to slide with the use of special equipment. Overnight at Belmar Hotel, standard room.
Days 8
Return to San Jose in the morning. The rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure to explore San Jose active nightlife. Overnight at El Rodeo (or similar).
